The girl in the middle of the picture is Helle. She's a part of our Design Research Team. Helle has the ability to blend in perfectly which is why she's fabulous when we're doing anthropological field studies. It is also the obvious reason why we forgot to announce her becoming a Hatch & Bloom member – she has simply become a natural part of everyday life at Hatch & Bloom. Besides her natural gift for communicating with users Helle is the founder of the trend-site Gademode.dk where the fast, the fashionable, and the furious are immortalized ...

Welcome to the jungle

Ohh my god! Mette and Esben just realized that Hatch & Bloom is a creative jungle. We’re operating by the jungle code. We’re one diverse ecology of species. The days are never the same - and everything’s possible! But we love it and it’s the only way to stay wild. Whoever wants to be in a creative zoo when you can be in the jungle? Step out of the cage and into the sunshine!

Brilliant researchers!
We admit it: They look like two students from the Aarhus School of Business, but they‘re not. They’re students at the Institute of Information Studies at the University of Aarhus and they’re a part of Hatch & Blooms new Research Team. Hans William (on the right) is doing both usability tests and design research, and he's damn good at it too! Thorlak (on the left) is committed with trend studies. Thorlak will be spending 2008 in London taking a course in collaboration of business and creativity at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. We're delighted that he will supercharge our research with international trends and impulses from abroad.

Already celebrating
… but still not working for Hatch & Bloom. Since it’s now a bit more official we hereby reveal the second picture of our new mysterious employee. If you haven’t already guessed - it’s a female, it's a woman, it's a girl. We know that you are craving for more info but you have to be patient. However, we can tell you this: She’s hired to take Hatch & Bloom’s Design Research to another level. Stay tuned for more goodies …

Hatch some Soul and Bloom some Funk

We love her music! That’s why we’re proud to announce that Hatch & Bloom has designed the cover of Bassida’s album "Marmelade". It’s her first solo album, but Bassida has extensive experience from the world of Soul and Funk. She has jammed with Stevie Wonder and shared a beer with Erykah Badu. She has also been touring ‘round Asia with Michael Learns to Rock (but that’s not something to brag about). By the way, she’s giving a concert on February 8 at Studenterhus Aarhus.

The forbidden steps ... a video out of context
Here is Esben, our New Media partner and web designer. Why, you may ask, why do we broadcast these forbidden steps? Because of the rythm, the originality and the hair-do. This dancing sequence is from New Year's Eve. And we just couldn't help ourselves.

These boots are made for working …
… and that's just what they'll do. And one of these days these boots are gonna be at Hatch & Bloom. It’s not quite official. But we are about to get our first employee. We are very excited. We didn’t expect things to take off so quickly, but they have. So who is this person? We won’t tell you just yet, but we feel lucky. Here’s the first of three images revealing a bit of our new employee. Ready boots, start working ...
